How would you describe yourself?
I am a mother of three amazing boys. I am always doing my best to show that you can do anything you set your mind to. I strive to be a good example for them. I love my family.
How long have you been involved in your business?
What is your why?
My why is a couple of things dear to my heart. My boys have special needs and this job allows me to be home with them. Also, my husband is partially disabled and it is hard for him to work, so this helps me to financially support him and hopefully, one day, retire him.
Tell us a little about your family.
I have an amazing husband, Joey, who I have been with for 20 years. We have three gorgeous boys, ages 20, 12 and 7.
How do you prioritize family and your business?
Schedule business hours and family time.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Having an amazing business with amazing VIPs. A steady income and a husband that will be retired.
What keeps you motivated?
My children keep me motivated. I keep myself motivated by reading self-help books and learning. My business and my VIPs keep me motivated.
Biggest life lesson learned?
Not to put others needs ahead of my own. To be aware and not allow people to take advantage of me. It comes down to realizing that you need to take care of yourself before you can take care of others.
Biggest lesson you’ve learned in business?
Make a schedule. Make a plan and always be ready to learn.
What is your secret to success?
Keeping in mind that it isnt just about the sales or how many orders you get. It is about the relationships with my customers (VIPs).
All entrepreneurs encounter bad days. How do you handle yours?
I always learn from my mistakes. Success includes making mistakes and moving on from them.
What was your sweetest success story?
I have had customers that have been angry due to circumstances beyond my control during a sale and the best success is providing excellent customer service and making them so happy that they become some of my best customers.
How do you relax?
I take walks, get massages, get my nails done and spend time with my kids.
What are your most popular products?
Our buttery soft leggings are definitely a favorite, followed by our dresses, skirts and tops!
What are your favorite business tools? What business apps, products and tools do you use daily to run your business/life efficiently?
What could you not function without? My business lives on Facebook and Instagram. I love photo collage apps, LuLaRoe apps and Amazon. I could not function without social media and my cellphone/iPad.
Any advice you have for other women who want to start their own business?
Many think it is easy and fun to have your own business. It is fun, but it also takes work and occasionally long hours. So, be prepared to put in the work to see the success you want!
